Shrimp Mushroom Curry

My hubby likes mushrooms a lot. He always asks me to make mushrooms. But i was bored with the same mushroom recipes. So i decided to make shrimp curry for us and mushroom curry just for him. I started my work with onions. At this time i asked my hubby to get me shrimp pack from our freezer. He just took it and he asked me how it will taste if we combine shrimp and mushroom. I had no idea. But he guarenteed me that he will eat it even if it wont taste good. Okeyy. I said. And thats how i prepared this shrimp mushroom curry. But let me tell u. It just tasted so good. We just loved it. Goes good with rice, chapati, appam.
1)Shrimp - 1pound (peeled n cleaned)
2)Mushroom - 2 pack (8oz packs)1)Shrimp - 1pound (peeled n cleaned)
3)Coconut milk - 1cup (thick milk)
4)Tomato - 1 (chopped)5)Onion - 1cup (chopped)
6)Ginger & Garlic - 1 Tbspn (chopped)7)Green Chillies - 3 nos
8)Meat Masala - 1tbspn (or garam masala)9)Chilli powder - 1.5 tspn (according to ur spice level)
10)Coriander powder - 1tspn11)Turmeric powder - 1/4 tspn
12)Salt & Oil - to ur tastePreperation :-
1)Fry onions, ginger, garlic, green chillies together with a pinch of salt in oil.
2)Add cilantro and curryleaves.
3)Add masala powders and fry it for few seconds (in low flame or take out pan from stove top while frying powders)
4)Add tomatoes n bring back to medium flame/heat.
5)Pour a lil water just to moist masala. Let tomatoes get half cooked.
6)Add shrimp and mushrooms. Add enough salt and cook it.
7)Once when it comes to boil, check for water in it. Mushrooms leaves lots of water. cook it without lid.
8)when shrimp n mushrooms are well cooked and when u see oil on top of the curry, switch off the stove and pour the thick coconut milk and stir it well.
9) Add fresh curryleaves to it.
Ready to serve.
